His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, and President of the friendly Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, discussed various aspects of bilateral relations and joint work between the two countries, and promising opportunities for their development and transition to broader horizons to serve their mutual interests, within the framework of the comprehensive strategic partnership that brings together The UAE and Serbia .. in addition to a number of regional and international issues and developments of interest to the two countries.
This came during a meeting held by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, today, in the capital, Belgrade, as part of a working visit by His Highness to Serbia.
President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed the visit of His Highness and the accompanying delegation to Serbia, stressing that the visit constitutes a strong impetus for the development of distinguished bilateral relations in all fields.
During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and the President of Serbia reviewed various aspects of cooperation in the economic, commercial and political fields to achieve the interests of the two countries and their friendly peoples.
The two sides also discussed a number of regional and international issues of common concern. In this context, they stressed the need for joint action to support peace, stability and development efforts at the regional and global levels.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides affirmed their common interest in continuing communication and constructive productive work at all levels to develop the prospects for UAE-Serbian relations, especially in light of the two countries’ efforts to build model sustainable economic partnerships in line with development priorities and contribute to achieving their aspirations for a promising future.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Special Affairs Advisor at the Presidential Court, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Council Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Supreme National Security Adviser, Presidential Office Adviser Muhammad Mubarak Al Mazrouei, State Ambassador to Serbia Mubarak Saeed Al Dhaheri and Muhammad Al Abbar.
On the Serbian side, it was attended by the Prime Minister of Serbia, Anna Brnabic, the Director of the Intelligence Agency Bratislav Gacic, the Assistant Minister of Defense Nenad Miloradovic, the Director of the President’s Office Ivica Kojic, the President’s Adviser for Foreign Policy Tatiana Jovic, the President’s Media Adviser Zuzana Vasilievich and the President’s Economic Adviser Danilo Tsitsmil.
His Highness the President of the State arrived earlier today at Belgrade Airport, where he was received by the Serbian President.
An official reception ceremony was held for His Highness upon his arrival at the Serbian Presidential Palace, where the national anthems of the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Serbia were played. Then, His Highness, accompanied by the Serbian President, inspected the guard of honor, which lined up to salute His Highness.
His Highness the President of the State shook hands with the recipients of senior officials in Serbia, while the Serbian President shook hands with the delegation accompanying His Highness.
