Tragedy in the province of Treviso, little Matteo Vitali died in hospital after his father hit him while reversing

A real drama is what a family living in the province of Treviso is experiencing. Unfortunately the little one Matteo Vitali aged just a year and a half, he lost his life after his father hit him in reverse while moving the car in the garden of his house.

The doctors immediately realized that the situation was very serious, but in the end, after two long days of hospitalization in intensive care, they had no choice but to confirm his death. Attempts to keep him alive were of no avail.

The drama took place on the day of Sunday 14 April. In the family home located in the municipality of Dosson of Casier, in the province of Treviso. For all of them it was supposed to be a day of relaxation and carefreeness, none of them would have ever imagined that the unthinkable would happen in just a few minutes.

The father after getting into the car, to move it, has engaged reverse gear and he left. However, he didn't realize at all that his baby was nearby and he has invested. The two desperate parents soon realized that the situation was serious and in fact they took their little one urgently to the Ca' Foncello hospital in Treviso.

The death of Matteo Vitali after two long days of agony

The baby's heart stopped beating for 45 long minutes and the doctors of the hospital managed to restart him after resuscitating him for a long time. However, what worried them most was the head trauma reported by the child in the collision.

They admitted him urgently to the intensive care unit, but it is right here that after two long days of agony, on the evening of Tuesday 16 Aprilfor Matteo they could not help but note the death. A heartbreaking fatality that led to dramatic consequences for the family.

The Treviso Prosecutor's Office itself has chosen to open an investigation about the incident and his parents therefore decided to contact a lawyer. At the moment they are waiting for the authorization to get the body back and be able to celebrate his death funeral.
