Archaeologists believe that the skeleton they found, earlier this year, belongs to a man who was between 40 and 45 years old.
The remains of the man who survived the volcano were discovered in a place that was the site of the Roman city of Herculaneum, and he was one of hundreds of people who tried to board a ship that would keep them away from the disaster.
Scientists believe that the person who escaped from the volcano was killed only a few steps from the sea, while trying to escape from the molten material from the volcano Vesuvius, amid thick clouds of ash and poisonous gas.
The inspection showed that the man was turning his face upwards before he died, and this was mainly due to his suffering with the deadly clouds of ash that surrounded him from all sides.
The Italian archaeologist, Francesco Serrano, says that those who were found at the site had their faces pointed down, but the owner of the skeleton was trying to find a ship to survive the disaster, and then turned around because he heard the progress of a cloud approaching him at a speed of 100 kilometers per hour.
According to scientists, the man most likely died immediately, as a result of being hit by a cloud of ash and gas in which the temperature reached 500 degrees Celsius.
And the biologist, Pier Paolo Petron, explains that when the temperature reaches 500 degrees Celsius, the blood and brain become in a boiling state while human flesh evaporates, and then only the bones remain that do not burn unless the temperature reaches 1000 degrees Celsius.
The scientific examination indicates that the deceased was carrying something similar to a leather bag, and inside it was a wooden box containing a ring.
This skeleton was discovered last October, but the details were announced at a press conference last Wednesday.
