The rescue of a cat forced to live in a bird cage: volunteers intervened thanks to a call from a passer-by
The cat protagonist of this story, he was saved by the volunteers of the association Furry Nation Salvation, thanks to a call from a passer-by. The latter was unable to remain indifferent to the poor cat’s living conditions, locked in one bird cage and left in the garden of a house.
The boys went to the place indicated, to verify the real situation of the cat. They were totally shocked when they saw him locked in that cage, completely covered with fleas and without a millimeter of clean space. He couldn’t even lie down.
The house was uninhabited, so they took the cat and have it set free from that tiny prison, then they headed to the nearest veterinary clinic. When the volunteers let him free to go wherever he wanted, the poor kitty was confused. He only took a few steps and then sat down, because he was used to that cage.
After the medical examination, the vet found out that he had infections of the bladder, upper respiratory tract and skin, due to the environment in which he was forced to live.
As soon as we got home, we gave him a nice warm bath and a dose of flea prevention. My two year old son held it in my arms while I dried it, it made an incredible purr. The noise almost sounded like a dove’s cry.
