PLAION PICTURES announces that it is available again from today the Steelbook edition of the greatest works of Hayao Miyazaki. As previously anticipated, this very limited edition will contain within it both DVD and Blu-Ray of ten of the master’s most beloved feature films, namely:

After the honorary Palme d’Or awarded by the Cannes Film Festival to Studio Ghibli and awaiting the Home Video edition of “The Boy and the Heron”, winner of the Oscar for best animated film 2024, the wonderful collector’s editions of the works of the master Miyazaki in Steelbook DVD + Blu-Ray™ format
Milan, 23 May 2024 – Lucky Red And Plaion Pictures are pleased to announce that from today they are back available on the market 10 collectible steelbooks of the animated films of Studio Ghibli directed by the great master Hayao Miyazakiwhose artistic vision has defined a standard of excellence in the sector over the years and who through his works has inspired generations of animators and directors, transcending traditional boundaries through a mix of elements of fantasy, folklore, iconic characters and visually and emotionally evocative worlds .
The Studio was recently awarded by the Cannes Film Festival with the Honorary Golden Palm, awarded for the first time to a collective and not to a single filmmaker, to underline the importance and resonance that the works of Hayao Miyazaki, and others, have had over the last four decades. The co-founder and producer of Studio Ghibli, Toshio SuzukiMiyazaki’s right-hand man in all these years, commented on the prestigious award by stating: “Forty years ago, Hayao Miyazaki, Isao Takahata and I founded Studio Ghibli with the desire to create high-level, quality animation for children and adults of all ages […] Even though Miyazaki and I have aged a lot, I am sure that Studio Ghibli will continue to face new challenges, guided by a working group that will carry forward the spirit of the company.
