Hawkeye is the series dedicated to the hero Hawk eye, played by the famous actor Jeremy Renner in this super hero spin-off Marvel. The good Renner recently discussed his role and how he got on very well with the actress Hailee Steinfeld, in art Kate Bishop and how despite not having specific plans for the aftermath Hawkeye be very happy with what this collaboration has created.
The first two episodes of the brand new series are already available on the subscription service Disney +, and we must say that they have left us pleasantly impressed especially for the tones used by the directors, much more realistic and pragmatic. In fact, as almost everyone will know, the good agent Clint Barton (Hawkeye) is a normal human, with no special powers and specific stamina.
You certainly can count on a outstanding training in archery and hand-to-hand combat, a little like Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow), but just like the aforementioned Russian-born spy, Barton is also extremely limited by his own human nature. Despite this, he never failed to stand out in action compared to other heroes.
Of course we are not talking about a hero capable of unleashing the very powerful super mutation of Hulk nor of an almost total divine immunity like that of Thor, yet Barton certainly knows how to win a fight, even with alien monsters like the Chitauri. In the series, however, we see a Hawk eye tired of the raids with the Avengers and only longing for a little deserved peace.
Too bad, however, that the holiday with your family soon turns into a hard battle, called to service by his altruistic nature in helping Kate Bishop, a young and lethal fighter who is facing the Mafia in Tracksuit Mafia.
The series, despite being still only at the beginning, has already enjoyed some success, and Runner said during an interview also in view of a potential future for the after Hawkeye:
I don’t have a crystal ball, and I’m not a fortune teller, (but collaborating with Hailee) to these characters, I think (that opened our collaboration) for six big episodes for this kind of televised event. After that, I have no idea. But these six episodes are pretty exciting.
We therefore hope that the actor’s indecision also leaves room for a potential sequel, should it be necessary. This is because there are still so many stories from the MCU to see and enjoy, even dedicated to characters often thought of as “Minors” just like the mythical Agent Barton.
