The Disciplinary Committee of the Dimayor resolved the sanction for the Independiente Santa Fe club, after the events that occurred last Sunday when a referee assistant was hit with an object, in the match against La Equidad on date 2 of group B in the home runs.

The match was interrupted in the 54th minute when an object was thrown from the east stand of the roof stadium that hit assistant Jenny Torres.
Because of what happened, this Friday the Committee decided to punish the Cardinal team, even though it was the visitor, for the behavior of some of its fans. The punishment is a two-day suspension. from the northeastern stand and a financial fine.
“Sanction the Club Independiente Santa Fe SA (“Santa Fe”) with two (2) dates of partial suspension of the plaza (northeast grandstand) and a fine of thirteen million pesos ($13,000,000), for incurring the infraction described in paragraphs 2, 4, 5,6 and 9 of article 84 of the CDU of the FCF, due to the events that occurred in the match played on the 2nd date of Homeruns Semifinals of the BetPlay Dimayor I-2024 League,between the Club Deportivo La Equidad Seguros SA and the Club Independiente Santa Fe,” says the sanctions bulletin.
In addition, the local club, La Equidad, as organizer of the match, received a warning from Dimayor for what happened.
