A check for 5 thousand euros donated by the Hard Rock Heals Foundation to the Bambino Gesù pediatric hospital in Rome. The handover ceremony was held this morning, inside the hospital’s Castle of the Games and, thanks to the donation, it was possible to acquire an infrared viewer, for the benefit of the General and Thoracic Surgery Unit, useful for reducing pain during the positioning of peripheral venous accesses in small patients. Present at the symbolic delivery of the check were Alessandro Crocoli, head of the Simple Operative Unit of Oncology Surgery of the Capitoline Pediatric Hospital and Alessio Bisogni, General Manager of the Hard Rock Cafe in Rome.
“We are happy and honored – explained Bisogni – to have been the protagonists of this project created and won by the Hard Rock Cafe Rome in favor of the Bambino Gesù Onlus Foundation”. “We thank the Hard Rock Heals Foundation for the donation – commented Crocoli – which allowed us to further improve the care of our little patients through the purchase of the infrared viewer: this device significantly reduces the number of attempts required for venipuncture; in this way – he concluded – we can therefore limit the pain associated with these procedures, making it easier for children and their parents admitted to our hospital “.
