His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, stressed that the UAE has been keen, since its inception, to develop an integrated infrastructure and has worked to build an integrated road network that takes into account all international standards in terms of linking all cities and regions of the country with a network of the highest international standards in design. And implementation in order to achieve its economic growth and the welfare of its people, thus achieving the highest standards of safety and security for road users.
His Highness said that the development witnessed by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi included various fields for all regions, and Al Dhafra region had a large share of it, as the region is of great importance for attracting the largest economic, commercial and investment projects in the country and contributes to supporting attracting investments to the region.
This came during the inauguration of His Highness Ghayathi-Ruwais Road E15 in Al Dhafra region, which is being implemented by Aldar Properties in cooperation with the Integrated Transport Center, at a total cost of about 255.7 million dirhams.
The opening was attended by Major General Staff Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Abdullah Al Sahi, Undersecretary of the Department of Municipalities and Transport in Abu Dhabi, Ahmed Matar Al Dhaheri, Director of the Office of His Highness the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra region, Nasser Mohammed Matar Al Mansouri, Under-Secretary of the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra region, and Muhammad Ali Al Mansouri, Acting Director General Al Dhafra Municipality, Brigadier General Ahmed Mohammed Baleed Al Marar, Commander of the Vital Facilities Guard Group, Issa Hamad Bushhab, Advisor to His Highness, President of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority, Colonel Hamdan Saif Al Mansouri, Director of Al Dhafra Police Directorate, Hamad Khamis Al Mansouri, Executive Director of Al Dhafra Hospitals, a number of representatives of Al Dar Properties and senior officials.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan said: “What is required of us today is to follow the path of Sheikh Zayed and Sheikh Khalifa, may God bless their souls, who built and founded this country. There is no doubt that it is a great responsibility that rests on everyone’s shoulders, and we ask the Almighty to help us to bear it and with what It serves the Al Dhafra region and the Emirates in general.
His Highness valued the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him, for all development plans and projects implemented on the country’s land, calling on all officials to carry out their duties to the fullest and to serve everyone who resides on this good land.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the efforts of all parties that contributed to the implementation of this important project and their role in developing and establishing many vital and important projects in the sectors of roads, housing, education, buildings, health, public utilities, service centers and other long-term projects that all stem from the objectives of the Abu Dhabi Plan It serves its ultimate goal, which is to support comprehensive development, lay its foundations, meet the aspirations of society and achieve happiness for it.
At the beginning of the inauguration, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan listened to a presentation on the stages of completion of the road, after which he toured the path of the road linking Ghayathi city to Ruwais and the new Ghayathi industrial area to the E15 highway, which also includes the link with Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road. International E11.
The road consists of two directions with 3 lanes in each direction. It also included the construction of a new bridge linking the E15 road to the new Ghayathi Industrial City and the development of 8 exits and 8 roundabouts along the road with a design that contributes to reducing traffic jams and achieving full flow and safe traffic flow.
The implementation and completion of the project comes within the framework of embodying the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State “may God protect him” towards providing a high-quality infrastructure that meets the needs of the individual and society and is in line with the best international standards and aims to improve the standard of life and the quality of services available, in addition to laying the infrastructure that Supports the local economy.
The development work of the highway from Ghayathi to Ruwais included the implementation of 20 km of roads, including the construction of a new 6.5 km road linking the Oil Facilities Protection Corporation.
The project included an expansion of the existing Ruwais – Ghayathi road by adding a new lane in each direction with a length of 13.6 km, which will greatly contribute to facilitating and smoothing traffic and enhancing security and safety standards, in addition to constructing new roads in Ruwais Industrial City and the new Ghayathi Industrial Zone with a length of 6.5 km. 3 signalized intersections with a comprehensive traffic control system and the modification of the existing bridge on Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Road E11 to suit the comprehensive modifications to traffic, as two detour lanes and a traffic signal were added, shortening the distances for road users coming from Abu Dhabi towards Ghayathi city and coming from Ruwais towards Abu Dhabi city.
As part of its commitment to the highest standards of sustainability, Aldar Properties, in implementing the project, has adopted innovative solutions that ensure enhancing the level of environmental sustainability and avoiding the negative effects of groundwater accumulation, in addition to surface systems for rainwater drainage and non-accumulation, especially at intersections.
The company has committed itself to the best practices of rationalizing energy consumption and conserving resources during all stages of the project, starting from the design stage, through the selection of equipment and raw materials, to the stage of implementation and completion. To illuminate the road and intersections, the house used LED lighting devices to reduce energy consumption, as 469 lighting poles were installed along the road and 1,313 LED lights were installed.
On the other hand, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited Shuweihat Beach Camp, which is being developed by Modon Real Estate Company.
His Highness was briefed on the services and facilities provided by the beach to camping lovers, which are characterized by privacy, as those wishing to experience camping can set up their personal tents in the designated sites for this, or use the tents available in the place, in addition to providing equipped and designated spaces for mobile home vehicles.

The beach provides outdoor umbrellas, barbecue facilities, excursion tables, and other distinctive services and facilities within the designated spaces.
With regard to mobile home vehicles, their owners can sleep in these vehicles in the spaces designated within the project, which provide visitors with multiple services.
Beach visitors can enjoy a large number of marine sports and beach events that are suitable for all family members, as the project was implemented with the highest specifications and standards, in order to preserve the environment and character of the beach.
