During his tour, His Highness was briefed on the new expansion of the emergency department, which was designed in accordance with approved international standards, with the latest medical advisory and treatment services provided to auditors in the Emirate of Fujairah and its affiliated areas. There are various patient observation areas with a capacity of 15 beds, a patient recovery room with a capacity of 4 beds, an assessment area with a capacity of 2 beds, 4 rooms for short stays, an isolation room and a special radiology department for accident and emergency patients.
The development project also included providing the catheterization department with a new, highly efficient device, the latest in the Middle East, in addition to providing it with advanced technologies that enable the medical staff to achieve a greater success rate in dealing with hundreds of disease cases that require intervention of this type. Carrying out catheterization operations according to high quality standards that achieve customer satisfaction and improve the level of medical services provided in the country, in addition to increasing the capacity of the Intensive Care and Cardiac Care Department by adding 20 beds equipped with the latest medical equipment of international standards.
