The new Halo Infinite event can’t be completed in one week, that’s why.
The first event of Halo Infinite is now officially active on all platforms. Named Fracture: Tenrai, this samurai-themed event brings lots of new items to be earned through a new Battle Pass with 30 levels, free for all players.
However, players are not happy with how progression works in Fracture: Tenrai. 343 Industries has confirmed that the event cannot be completed in a week, which means that players will have to wait for the event to return during Season 1 to earn the items they failed to unlock in the first week.
The return of Fracture: Tenrai is scheduled for January 2022, confirmed 343, and some players find this period to be decidedly long. Of course, in the meantime, we expect another event to fill the space with new rewards, but the number of events is not the main issue, as much as the progression. Progression in Fracture: Tenrai battle pass is faster than the Season 1 Battle Pass, but eventually, the challenges to complete for the event will be exhausted, meaning players will not be able to advance further in the Battle Pass as all progress is related to challenges.
This is certainly annoying and something 343 Industries should consider tweaking as progression has been one of the game’s most criticized features since launching last week. Anyway, we just have to wait and see if the development team will change things.
