Judge Juan Carlos Peinado insists on his line of investigation on the assistant of the wife of the President of the Government and has summoned the accused to a care with one of the witnesses to whom he has made a statement in this regard. In a providence, to which Eldiario.es has had access, he also calls to declare as a witness the person in charge of Moncloa under whose coordination is the aforementioned assistant, after Félix Bolaños had to find out during his statement last Wednesday who Cristina Álvarez depended.
On May 14, Peinado will sit before his Alfredo González, who made the proposal for the appointment of Cristina Álvarez, and the latter, who went from witness to accused. Both will expose their testimonies without being discovered divergence among those who have already lent, separately before the judge, which is why a careo is usually called in an instructional phase.
At the same time and the same day he has summoned Raúl Díaz Silva, coordinator of positions in Moncloa on which Cristina Álvarez would depend. The Secretary of the Presidency when the hiring of Álvarez, Félix Bolaños, occurred, had to be absent from the statement for a few minutes, by order of the judge, to find out making calls on which coordinator the assistant of Begoña Gómez depends.
Raúl Díaz’s name – which is the person who coordinates the Palace staff, more than 2,000 people – was already in the documentation that Moncloa sent to the judge in one of their information requirements.
The judge traces indications of the crime of embezzlement for the tasks performed by the advisor in charge of coordinating the agenda of the wife of the chief of the Executive, from some emails referred to Álvarez from Begoña Gómez in relation to the master’s degree he directed at the Complutense University.
Álvarez was summoned as a witness last December and acknowledged having sent mails and made efforts with the Complutense University in the name of Gomez, who co -directed a chair in that academic center. The advisor also explained that she had been hired to take her matters both official and private. On the functions of the assistant, the minister explained that he does not know them, because he has never been his boss or responsible.
The judge stood at the advisors of La Moncloa after knowing that Gomez had had Álvarez as a collaborator. The magistrate demanded that the presidency of the Government specify a list “of the different workers and advisors who perform their work in the Palacloa Palacloa.” Subsequently, he quoted Alfredo González, the high position of Moncloa who managed the appointment of the advisor of Gomez. At the time of the facts investigated, Bolaños was González’s superior.
This high position, now cited for Careo with the assistant, explained to Hajinado that with the change of government of 2018 he processed about a hundred appointments of confidence and that he did not specifically remember Álvarez’s, which he also said he did not know.
