Director and permanent member of the KVN games jury Yuliy Gusman called KVN host Alexander Maslyakov a grandiose television artist. He said this in a conversation with Lenta.ru.
“It seems to me that the life, fate, struggle, greatness, contribution, intelligence, talent of Alexander Vasilyevich Maslyakov deserve hymns, toasts, songs, books, research dissertations. They were, are and will be many more. Sasha is gone. Alexander Vasilyevich is gone. A grandiose television artist,” Gusman said.
The director added that there are hundreds of Maslyakov’s projects that have been captured on television media.
“We can open a KVN channel, and he will be there, he will be with us. This does not in any way reduce the pain, the suffering of all who loved, appreciated, enjoyed art, and that is millions of people. But it is great that his business is in the safe hands of his wife and his son,” he shared.

Earlier it became known that the head of KVN and TV presenter Alexander Maslyakov died at the age of 83. He hosted the program since 1964, becoming a symbol of humor and satire both in Russia and abroad.
According to the SHOT Telegram channel, Maslyakov’s death was caused by lung cancer. The presenter had an inoperable tumor: eight months ago, doctors admitted that treatment would not be able to affect the situation.
