It's been almost a day since the Byesterday Leverkusen celebrated their first Bundesliga title after defeating Werder Bremen 5-0 and accumulate an unattainable advantage over their closest guardsBayern Munich and Vfb Stuttgart.
The team won with so many Victor Boniface, Granit Xhaka, Florian Wirtzin 68, 83 and 90, for the title of the aspirin club, which broke the positive streak of 11 consecutive salads for Bayern.
Tremendous celebration
And on that team is a Colombian: Gustavo Puerta, who with his teammates celebrated the victory and the first championship for a team that when DT, Xabi Alonso, arrived, he was fighting not to go into relegation.
“Each title as a player was special. But logically, in this new stage as a coach, too. I really enjoyed the climb with the Sanse, but this is incredible. Above all, being part of Leverkusen's history and winning the first Bundesliga feels very special,” said the coach.
And I add: “In addition to the result, it tells how we achieved it. “It's time to celebrate it because we deserved it.”
Puerta didn't play much, but he was on the roster. The footballer managed to be with the club on the field for 210 minutes and in the matches against el Borussia Monchengladbach, Cologne, Werder Bremen, Bochum and Bayern Munich.
Puerta is the third Colombian to obtain the title in German soccer after Adolfo 'Tren' Valencia and James Rodríguez, who achieved the same with Bayern Munich.
