Director of the Gamaleya Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology Alexander Gintsburg said there were no complaints about the negative effects of vaccinating adolescents against coronavirus infection with Sputnik M. His words lead TASS.
The director of the center indicated that there were no such reports from those vaccinated between the ages of 12 and 17. “There were no complaints, absolutely,” he stressed.
Gunzburg also said that soon the production volumes of Sputnik M will be increased, the Generium company will join the production process. He assured that all the volumes of the vaccine required for adolescents would be produced immediately and delivered to the regions.
According to the scientist, about 60 percent of the supplies, that is, about 60,000 doses, have now been used.
Earlier, Gunzburg said that the Gamaleya Center did not find children aged 6-11 in Moscow who had never encountered the coronavirus. For this reason, testing of the Sputnik M vaccine in this age category will begin in three weeks.
