Angostura, Sinaloa.- The mayor of Angostura, Miguel Ángel Angulo Acosta, achieves the goal of merging the Yoreme Mayo and Yoreme Tahue indigenous groups and, being one, they themselves elected Guillermina Soto Valenzuela as your representative in the City Hall of Angostura.
Soto Valenzuela protested as the new director of the Indigenous Municipal Institute in Angostura. This action was carried out during a meeting this morning, which lasted more than two hours but in the end yielded the expected results, all for the benefit of the indigenous communities and that the various supports that land in the municipality be distributed to them equitably.
A good number of indigenous people, among them the Governor, Alejandro Silvas Cabanillas, met in the Cabildo room to reach important agreements, and in the presence of the mayor, Miguel Ángel Angulo, they made known proposals to occupy the leadership of the Indigenous Municipal Institute the names of several people.
A secret vote was held there and the winner was Guillermina Soto Valenzuela, while Adriana Luz Velázquez Graciano was the alternate.

The municipal president took the usual protest and in his message highlighted: “here there was not a single finger, but you yourselves chose your representative and with Guillermina we are going to work hand in hand to generate for the families of the communities indigenous people better well-being and have better living conditions,” he concluded.
