The mediation of the senator of the National Regeneration Movement party (Morena), Félix Salgado Macedonio, was decisive so that this morning the work stoppage will end and unionized workers free the premises of the local Congress, this was recognized by the president of the Political Coordination Board (Jucopo), Alfredo Sánchez Esquivel.
Thus ended a conflict that detonated nine days ago, the same as prevented the state governor, Héctor Astudillo Flores, from rendering his sixth and last report on work before the Plenary of the local Congress.
The work stoppage of the members of section 55 of the Single Union of Public Servants of the State of Guerrero (SUSPEG), it was because they were demanding the payment of four bonuses, including the day of the public servant, the day of the Secretary and the end of the Legislature.
According to Félix Salgado himself, his intervention before the president of the Jucopo was a request of the workers themselves, as they requested it after a meeting that took place on July 21, when Deputy Sánchez Esquivel maintained the position of resolving the strike by applying the regulations.
The own coordinator of the parliamentary fraction of Morena recognized that it was from a call from Senator Salgado Macedonio that communication was reestablished with the union.
The dialogue between the president of the Jucopo and the workers, with Salgado as mediator started on the afternoon of Thursday 22 and lasted until this morning, managing to secure an agreement for 01:05 hours.
A few hours ago, Salgado Macedonio used his official Facebook page to confirm the end of the work stoppage, as well as the release of the local Congress by the union.
“The workers of the Guerrero Congress asked for my intervention (…), fortunately we find the sensitivity in the president of the Political Coordination Board, Deputy Alfredo Sánchez Esquivel and the matter has been resolved, the legislative precinct has been released. Long live the workers! ”Wrote Salgado Macedonio and shared a photograph of the dialogue table.
This morning, Sánchez Esquivel said that he explained in detail la complicated financial and administrative situation facing the Congress of Guerrero; thanks to this fact, The workers expressed their willingness to keep the 3.15 percent salary increase, a figure that was an agreement already agreed upon in advance.
Regarding the bonus of the Secretary’s day, what was agreed is that it will be paid only to workers who have that category, while lThe other bonuses will be paid at the appropriate time.
“There was an understanding on the part of the workers, that this route of attrition benefits no one”, Considered Sánchez Esquivel.
Once the issue has been resolved, what is coming is to resume the tasks that Congress has, such as the appointment of the next head of the Superior State Audit (ASE) and completion of the sixth work report, since Héctor Astudillo could not attend the Plenary on July 15.
