Guardiola, who took charge in 2016, has a contract until the end of the 2022-2023 season.
“I’m not good enough to think about the long term,” the Spanish coach told reporters ahead of Saturday’s league game against Southampton.
“My future is always determined by the results, so we will play against Southampton and we will have some rest, and then at the end of the season we will see what happens.”
“The club has given me everything, so I can’t cheat on him or do anything wrong with him.”
Guardiola is heading towards leading Manchester City to win the league title for the fourth time in 5 years. He also won the League Cup and the Federation Cup 4 times, and the team leads the league by 11 points from its closest competitor, after 22 rounds.
Pep continued: “Together we have taken the decisions regarding my coming here and extending the contract on two occasions, and we will do the same now. It is about the club’s feelings towards me and about my feelings for myself and the club.”
He added: “I feel good and I feel relaxed. When I don’t have the energy and I feel tired and tired, I am sure to leave, but at the moment I have positive feelings.”
