GTA fans thank you.
What initially Rockstar he thought it would be a quick and easy operation is turning out to be one of their biggest nightmares. Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition it’s a complete disaster and even the developer himself has already publicly admitted his guilt. But it doesn’t stop there, as modders apparently take care of fixing the game at a faster rate than the developer.
Rockstar Games has promised a remastered version of its first three editions of GTA of the 3D era but has exaggerated its estimates. It probably put too many expectations on the table, but when the critical moment came, what reached the public was a video game full of bugs and totally unfinished. The yield of the titles is very poor and the legacy of programming errors compared to the originals, together with the non-existent artistic direction of these new versions, demonstrate the lack of affection with which this video game trio has been remastered.
Thanks to the modders, the trilogy is getting a new renaissance: users have published a series of mods that essentially restore the original games as they were. One of these mods, All Radio Songs Restored, allows users to include all songs that have been cut from the final edition of San Andreas. Another mod for San Andreas, loaded by user vancazMOD, allows players to restore the classic animation of the game and some of the characters that have been changed.
Other mods for the trilogy include GTA VC DE Reshade Original PS2 Ambience by Keisirius, a graphic mod that brings back the atmosphere of the original setting of the PS2 version of Vice City. Another mod, by DoctorMicah, aims to bring Tommy Vercetti back to the look it had before its restyling.
