Unfortunately it will take a while, but the location makes up for a lot
The main dealer of juicy GTArumor is usually an anonymous source in a slum of the internet. Often just a little too good to be true and above all unverifiable. The most recent rumor is apparently so plausible that RTL News it publishes. They learn from three sources that GTA 6 unfortunately only appears in 2024 or 2025 and that it takes place in the fictional Vice City, but in the present time. Or do they just want precious clicks from GTA-rumours?
The sources they cite are YouTuber Tom Henderson, Bloombergjournalist Jason Schreier and anonymous sources of Video Games Chronicle. The idea that GTA 6 returning to Vice City corresponds to previous rumors. The fictional counterpart of Miami would start as a relatively small map and be expanded over the years with new updates. It looks like it GTA 6 should last for many years.
‘Release date GTA 6 is 2024 or 2025′
While there is no confirmation whatsoever from Rockstar regarding the release date of GTA 6, this sounds like a plausible target date. The current GTA is now first coming to the PS5 and of course some game copies and Shark Cards still have to be sold. In 2024, the current GTA over eleven years old, which is a very respectable age for a game.
Why does it take so long?
We have no idea if it will be from the release date of GTA 5 the intention was to put the game in the old age, but it works. In 2020 (so seven years after its release!) the game brought in more than 1 billion dollars in revenue. From game sales alone, Rockstar is said to have made more than $6 billion over the years, and that’s without the sales of digital dollars. Not bad for a game with a budget of less than 300 million dollars.
