Grand Theft Auto 6one of the most anticipated titles of this gaming generation, may have suffered a delay in its release date. The title, currently scheduled for release in 2025, according to rumors may have been postponed to 2026.
This news comes from Liammodders and site contributors GTABase.comwho would be in contact with several developers belonging to two development teams working on the next title from Rockstars Games.
The source of this news is the same one that suggested the possibility that the first trailer of GTA 6 could be released in December 2023, this long before the information was picked up and reported by mainstream media. In other words, there is reason to believe that this rumor has solid foundations.
Apparently, Rockstar Games has realized that need more time to develop the title and, therefore, GTA 6 could arrive in physical and digital stores in early/mid 2026.
The news has not yet been confirmed and, consequently, officially the title’s release is still scheduled for the second half of 2025. In any case, if this rumor turns out to be true, it would mean that the PC version of the title could be the one to pay the price. GTA 6 on PC should arrive a year after the release of the console version and, if it were to really be postponed to 2026, on PC it could arrive no earlier than 2027.
