Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, 21, participated in a political protest this Friday (7). This time, the main topic of the event did not involve the climate, but the war in the Gaza Strip.
The action was promoted in the city of Bonn, Germany, by the environmental group Kick Big Polluters Out, which brings together hundreds of organizations critical of the use of fossil fuels by large companies.
At the protest, demonstrators called for a ceasefire in the war between Israel and Hamas and for holding oil and gas companies accountable for “enabling the genocide in Gaza, food violence and the climate crisis.”
He also called for an end to the “repression” against demonstrations in solidarity with Palestinians taking place around the world.
One of the groups involved in the protest invaded a UN conference on climate change, which takes place in the German city until June 13, and ended up temporarily suspending activities.
The event is considered a preview of the 29th United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP29), scheduled for November.
