Grenergy has launched in Chile An inverse auction for the sale of 1.7 twh per year of energy from various photovoltaic plants and storage in the company’s batteries in the country, as reported in a statement.
The auction includes the injection of 1,400 GWh per year of energy stored in batteries during the night period, in addition to 300 GWh of photovoltaic production, with a supply provided between the first semester of 2026 and the first semester of 2027.
The auction is developed through Marketplace Electricity Local Match Energy. The request submission phase is already open and HE will extend until May 6.
This is the second time that Grenergy launches its own renewable energy auction. The company ensures that, in March 2022, it became the first clean energy producer in Latin America to carry out such auction.
“Thanks to this model, the scope is extended to a greater number of generators, marketers and other corporations interested in the energy transition,” says the company.
