There new ordinance of the Ministry of Health and that of sustainable infrastructures and mobility for the containment of Covid in transport and logistics has set new poles that regulate the circulation on board of certain means of transport. Trains, taxis and Ncc are those most affected by this new ordinance: new rules are introduced aimed at limiting the spread of the contagion, and clarity is also made regarding the possession of the Green Pass, given that there is often confusion as to who must have it compulsorily and who does not.
But let’s go in order, and let’s start with taxis and NCCs. On both of these two modes of transport, in fact, the new ordinance provides for the passenger to avoid occupying the available seat next to the driver. Not only that: they cannot be transported on the rear seats more than two passengers if not members of the same family, which must be spaced as far as possible. As for the Green Pass, only the driver will be obliged to be in possession of it: in addition to having the green card, he must also wear a surgical mask or a higher level.
Coming instead to trains, the main novelty concerns the verification of the Green Pass, currently mandatory for high-speed trains but not for local and regional ones, even if they operate between regions. Thanks to this new ordinance, in large railway stations equipped with electronic barriers for access to trains, the control of green certification must preferably be done on the ground: in a nutshell, controls on board trains will be reduced. However, if this happens and passengers are found with symptoms attributable to Covid, the health or police authorities they can also decide to stop the train same.
