The government Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) created a technical group to study the federalization of state highways. The ordinance was signed by the Minister of Transport, Renan Filho, and published this Friday (16.Feb.2024) in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union). Here's the complete (PDF – 103 kB).
The team must “promote actions on procedures related to the incorporation processes of state highways” to the Federal Highway System, including preparing a list of highways that can be integrated into the national network. The idea, with the measure, is to speed up works and concessions of sections.
The technical group will operate for 3 months, which can be extended for another 3, and will be made up of members from:
- National Secretariat of Road Transport of the Ministry of Transport, which will coordinate the group;
- Subsecretariat for Development and Planning of the Ministry of Transport;
- Infra SA;
- Dnit (National Department of Transport Infrastructure).
Infra SA will be responsible for carrying out the necessary studies and analyzes to define the descriptive list of the highways.
SURROUNDING BRASILIA
A 2nd technical group was created by the Ministry of Transport on this 6th, to propose management actions for public passenger transport in the region that covers the Federal District and cities surrounding Goiás. Here is the complete of the ordinance (PDF – 95 kB).
The objective is to study transport system management solutions, monitor the region's tariff policy and study the need to review the responsibility model. As shown by the Power360the ministry is already studying a passenger train project in the region.
The group will include:
- 2 representatives from the National Road Transport Secretariat of the Ministry of Transport;
- 2 representatives from the Undersecretariat for Partnerships of the Ministry of Transport;
- 2 representatives from the National Land Transport Agency;
- 2 representatives from Infra SA;
- 1 representative of the State Secretariat for the Surrounding District of the DF of the Goiás State Government;
- 1 representative of the General Secretariat of Government of the State of Goiás;
- 2 representatives from the State Department of Transport and Mobility of the Federal District.
