The Minister of the Presidency, Justice, Security and Administrative Simplification, Isabel Urrutiamade an institutional visit to Tresviso this Saturday, where he met with the Mayor, Alan Ruizwhere they discussed the progress of the main projects and lines of action of the Ministry of the Presidency that are being developed in Tresviso. Among them, they have addressed the procedures for the construction of the Tresviso helipad, currently in the process of obtaining the necessary documentation for the initiation of the land transfer file.
As reported by the counselor, The budgets for 2025 “significantly” increase investments in civil protection and security, 134 percent morereaching almost one million euros that will be allocated, among other projects, to the construction of the Tresviso and Polaciones helipads, the processing of which has been taking place throughout this year.
This is a “very important” infrastructure for the municipality of Tresviso, a high mountain town hall and one of the geographical points in Cantabria furthest from hospital centers, so the construction of a helipad will reduce evacuation and assistance times. to the neighbors and the victims of any accidentthe counselor recalled. Likewise, the acquisition of a Civil Protection vehicle and the installation of a defibrillator has been subsidized, as well as clothing provision for Civil Protection personnel, elements of “extreme importance” given the geographical isolation of the municipality, for an amount close to 31,000 euros.
WIDENING OF A STREET
Urrutia has inspected the improvement and expansion works of a street in the municipality that the Cantabrian Government has financedthrough the Local Administration Works Plan. As stated by the Executive in a press release, Urrutia has highlighted the “quality” of these urbanization works for “unifying and maintaining” the traditional appearance of the town, but adapting the streets and services to “current demands.” The counselor stressed that “a degraded area is recovered and spaces are expanded for the enjoyment of residents and visitors.”
In total, the department headed by Urrutia has invested 22,500 euros to expand the spaces and urbanize the area with a staircase that connects two areas of different levels. Likewise, greater security is offered to the environment with separate stone walls and a protective railing. The part of the street that is expanded has been paved with concrete, respecting the characteristics of the town, as well as the materials used.
SPECIAL ATTENTION
On the other hand, Tresviso receives, for the first time this year, a additional contribution from the Cantabrian Government of 20,000 euros so that it has additional resources with which to face the demographic decline and the problems due to its status as a high mountain municipality. In 2025, as the counselor has assured, they will once again have this special subsidy as it is a municipality with difficulties in road access and located at 907 meters of altitude, which entails significant geographical isolation, lack of transport connections and a greater absence of basic services.
To this is added the 73,500 euros received by the municipality from the Local Cooperation Fund, an amount that will be increased in 2025 with the new regional budgets. At the end of this meeting with the mayor and on the occasion of the celebration of the festival of San Andrés, the counselor also shared with the residents of the municipality the different scheduled events, which consisted, among others, of a solemn mass in honor of the patron officiated by the bishop, a conference on the history of Tresviso by Víctor Puente, as well as musical performances.
The festival of San Andrés was recovered last year, and this year marks two “successful” years, in which the contribution of the neighbors in its organization stands out.
