Makes several choices that Cordova it surpassed the City of Buenos Aires as the second district with the most voters in the country. And over the years, he also displaced her in a symbolic bid: he became the most anti-K district of Argentina. So much so that in a new survey measured for the 2021 elections, the In front of Everyone appears fourth.
The study that confirms the rejection of the national government is of CB Public Opinion Consultant, a firm that originates precisely in Córdoba and carried out a survey of 1,311 cases, between June 28 and July 1. It is the same pollster that more than a year ago began to publish an interesting ranking of governors.
Macrista Gustavo Santos and Luis Juez: reached an agreement to share a list in Córdoba.
The report begins with a question about the predisposition to go to the polls amid the pandemic (primary September 12 and November 14, general elections) and the numbers are lower than those shown by other polls: only 60.6% answered “I will surely go to vote”.
As counted this weekend Clarion, in government they are excited about this data and they believe that the less people come to vote, the more likely it is that the ruling party will prevail.
Vote for space
When the pollster makes the electoral proposal by space, the first alert appears for the Government. “What is your position in the legislative elections this year?” He asks CB Y the variant “I’d rather you win the Front of All “is fourth, without reaching two digits (9.8%).
Together for Change led, with 35.1%, followed by “We do for Córdoba” with 19.8%. The latter is the strength of Governor Juan Schiaretti, who in the intermediate or provincial elections plays separately from Kirchnerism.
Third, meanwhile, there is the option “I prefer that another force gains”, with 12.7%; fourth is the aforementioned Frente de Todos and the undecided ones complete, with 22.6%.
While the fourth place in the Frente de Todos impresses, the antecedents in Córdoba appease the anxiety. In the last presidential, in this province Macri-Pichetto took 32 points from the Fernández (61.31% to 29.31%) and in the 2017 legislative elections, the Córdoba Citizen Front (Cristinistas) finished with only 9.72%, in third place.
Precisely because of this meager result in the intermediate four years ago, in this 2021 the Frente de Todos only renews one deputy (Pablo Carro ends his term), against five from Together for Change (three radicals and two from PRO) and three that respond to Schiaretti (including his wife, Alejandra Vigo).
But in addition to nine deputies, this year Córdoba also puts its three seats in the Senate at stake: two from Juntos por el Cambio and Carlos Caserio, the former Schiarettista who made the leap to become “Alberto Fernández’s man” in the province.
Vote per candidate
With the candidacies still undefined, CB raised three different scenarios, especially thinking about the pre-candidates of Together for Change. The one who did the best is the radical Mario Negri, current head of the interblock of Deputies of the alliance, who does not rule out hitting the camera jump.
In the numbers CB, Negri would reach 36.7%. Close comes Luis Judge, from the Civic Front, who closed an agreement with the PRO to be the head of the list for the Senate. The former ambassador to Ecuador added in the poll 34.1%.
Finally, the Macri reference in Córdoba, the former Minister of Tourism Gustavo Santos, was the most relegated: If he headed for senators, according to this poll, he would reach only 19.6 points and Together for Change would fall to second place.
Anyway, Santos’ current ambition, according to what he arranged with Judge, is head for deputies. For now all very premature, since The Cordovan UCR warned that it has exactly the same aspirations as Judge and Santos: lead in both sections. Of course, radicalism must first resolve its own internal, between Negri’s sector and the one led by Rodrigo de Loredo.
As for We do for Córdoba, with Vigo as a variant for the Senate, it comes second before Negri (with 19.9%) and Judge (with 20.8%) and goes to first place against Santos (with 23.3%) .
Finally, the Frente de Todos, with Caserio as the main candidate to renew its bench, barely exceeds 8 points and I wouldn’t even get the place for the minority.
