Google Pixel 6a is next entry-level smartphone of the Mountain View manufacturer, which in the meantime is busy trying to meet the demand for the main models, Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, affected by the crisis of electronic components. The machine of indiscretions, however, does not stop and here is that after the external design and the dimensions of the new device, from the Chinese social network Weibo they arrive even the first information on the technical specifications, with a pleasant surprise for the photographic sector.
Google Pixel 6a: A 50-megapixel Samsung GN1 sensor for the camera?
Google Pixel 6a should include a 6.2-inch 1080p OLED display, a chipset Snapdragon 778G with 5G connectivity and a 50 megapixel Samsung GN1 sensor to represent the main sector of cameras. The size should settle on 152.2 x 71.8 x 8.7 mm: slightly smaller then, as expected, than the main members of the family.
On the positive side, it is precisely the camera that is surprising: it would be the same sensor mounted both on the midrange and on the top of the range, which would testify that Google wants to offer a respectable photographic sector even with the entry-level model. For the rest, picking up old rumors, the sensor for the ultrawide camera it should be a 12 megapixel Sony IMX363, accompanied by a 8 megapixel IMX355 front lens.
If the canonical roadmap is respected, Google Pixel 6a is expected to arrive by next summer. There is still some time, therefore, for other rumors and rumors that could deny or confirm what has been said so far.
