Hundreds of employees signed a manifesto against Google’s mandatory vaccine policy against Covid-19. The text has already accumulated 600 signatures, according to CNBC.
The protest urges the tech giant to respect “personal beliefs and decisions” and change its internal policy to be “inclusive” to all employees.

In July this year, Google mandated that all of its 150,000 employees, including those who work remotely, be vaccinated. Since September, 80% of Google employees have returned to work in person.
The Federal Workplace Discrimination Law Enforcement Agency says employers may require proof of vaccinations from their employees, with medical exceptions or religious objections.
The measure imposed by Google aims to return 100% of professionals to face-to-face work. A law in effect in the United States requires companies with more than 100 employees to submit their workers’ vaccination records by January 4, 2022.
“As we advise all employees, our vaccination requirements are one of the most important ways we can keep the workforce safe and keep our services running. We firmly maintain our support for immunization policies,” a Google spokesman told CNBC.
