Google.org, the philanthropic division of Google, today announces a donation of 20 million euros through the Google.org Social Innovation Fund. The web giant explains that the donation’s goal is to support social entrepreneurs across Europe who belong to more vulnerable communities.
This Initiative follows on from the work done over the past 10 years with Google for Startups, the Google.org Impact Challenges and the over € 10 million in Google.org donations to support social enterprises over the past 3 years.
Among the realities supported by Google.org also the Italian Colory, “a space that lives on social networks, created by and for second generation Italians” comments the founder Tia Taylor. “Google.org funding is helping us to amplify the voice of future generations, to create a reality where people can feel heard, seen, recognized,” he adds.
