The giant of the search engines in the Internet, “Google”, celebrated, on Wednesday, the birthday of the late Sudanese poet Mohamed Al-Fitouri.
And the interface of “Google” was decorated with a drawing showing the late Al-Fituri writing texts, and in the background a popular market.
And the English letters “Google” appeared drawn close to Arabic.
The late poet was not just a poet immersed in Sudanese affairs, he wrote for the Arab world and the continent of Africa until he was known as the poet of the oppressed continent, as he wrote for people in general, regardless of any affiliation.
He is seen as one of the pioneers of modern poetry, and you find in him a lot of liberation from traditional purposes such as satire and spinning, and he moved away from weights and rhyme, and his works were included in the educational curricula.
His life was moving between Arab countries, and he did not settle in any country, and politics was one of the reasons for his continuous travel.
Muhammad Miftah Al-Fitouri was born in 1936 in the city of El Geneina in the Darfur region of western Sudan. His father is Libyan and his mother is Sudanese.
