The director of “Avatar: the path of water”, James Cameron, may not repeat his role in the fourth and fifth films of the saga of Pandora. After seeing the transformation of Kate Winslet as a Navi war and the images of Sigourney Weaver as the daughter of Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), more news about the film continues to arrive.
After almost 8 years of production delays, the time that Cameron has spent on the next “Avatar” films has ended up being much more than he expected. So he would already be thinking of giving the baton to another filmmaker.

In an interview with Empire, the director mentioned how demanding it was to make a film of this caliber and how he still wants to work on other projects.
“The Avatar movies themselves are all consuming. I also have other things that I am developing, which are exciting,” explained the filmmaker. “I think over time, I don’t know if that’s after 3 or 4, I’ll want to hand over to a director I trust to take charge, to be able to do other things that I am also interested in,” he added.

However, Cameron made it clear that this is still a possibility, so nothing is said yet. The only thing clear is that, at 67 years old, James still wants to innovate in the seventh art.
In this way, we will have to wait for the release of the sequel, which will return to the big screen after 13 years.
