Trial of corona vaccine (Covaxin) has started in AIIMS. A 30-year-old man was vaccinated on the first day of the trial. The special thing is that the person did not have any kind of reaction after the vaccination and after two hours he was discharged from the hospital. Dr Sanjay Rai, Principal Investigator of Trial at AIIMS, said that the trial has started, now gradually the number of volunteers will be increased in the trial.
No problem after giving vaccine
According to the information, so far more than 12 volunteers have received medical fitness. Two of them were called on Friday. But one volunteer could not reach for personal reasons, so only one vaccine was given on Friday. Dr. Sanjay Rai said that the first phase of the trial is very important in terms of safety, so we kept the patient under observation for the next two hours after the vaccine. When there was no problem of any kind, he was discharged from the hospital.

The doctor told that volunteers have been given a diary which they have to maintain. If they have any problem then write about it. He said that Volunteer will be called again for follow-up after seven days, but in the meantime if he has any kind of problem, he can come anytime. Not only this, the people of the vaccine team will be in touch with them through the phone and daily movements will be done. The vaccination program will continue on Saturday. Today three to four people can be vaccinated.
First phase will be completed in 15 to 20 days
After vaccination, its safety report will be sent to the Ethics Committee. After the committee’s review, this trial will be carried forward. A total of 100 volunteers are to be included in Phase One trial of this vaccine and this is a vaccination of two doses. In this case, it may take about 15 to 20 days to complete the first phase.
