Sky has recently presented the first teaser trailer covering the final season of Gomorrah, the cult series of Sky Original, from an idea by Roberto Saviano and based on his novel of the same name. In the few seconds released it is also possible to see the return of a historical figure, who returns to fill his role.
As already anticipated by the first images on the set, Marco D’Amore returns to cover the role of Ciro di Marzio, character believed dead in the third season finale and then revealed still alive on the film The immortal. D’Amore himself is also confirmed as the director of the first five episodes and the ninth episode of this finale.
The remaining episodes, for a total of 10, are directed by Claudio Cuppellini, director since the first season, released in 2014. These new episodes were shot between Naples and Riga and were written by the head writers Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalegna Ravagli, who also dealt with the subject together with Roberto Saviano.
The Italian series, also distributed in over 190 territories, it has received many awards and an enthusiastic welcome, redefining what was the standard of Italian seriality. The same newspaper New York Times inserts Gomorrah – The series in fifth place in the most important non-American productions, in the decade 2010/2020.
The official synopsis describes exactly what we should expect:
The clash between the Levante and Patrizia left Naples in ruins, forcing Genny to give up his dream of normality and return to the field. But now he is hunted by the police, forced into a bunker and without any more Azzurra and Pietrino, abandoned to guarantee them a better life. His only ally is now ‘O Maestrale, the mysterious boss of Ponticelli. War is imminent and the enemies are fierce. But a discovery arrives: Ciro Di Marzio is alive, in Latvia. And for Genny nothing will be the same again.
For all fans of the series the appointment is set for next November on Sky and Now, for the conclusion of this story begins in 2014 and that has kept many spectators attached to the screen.
