According to her, it is impossible to force citizens to vaccinate, it is voluntary.
“We have determined for ourselves that without taking into account those who have already been ill and citizens under the age of 18, this is 68.6 million people, that is, 60% of the population,” she said, answering the question of what percentage of the population should be recovered and vaccinated. so that we can talk about the formation of herd immunity.
The Deputy Prime Minister stressed that those who vaccinated themselves should wear masks and gloves, keep a safe distance so that collective immunity is formed. According to her, there may be a person nearby who is either a carrier or sick, and the vaccinated can still get sick, albeit in a mild form.
At a briefing on January 18, the head of the Russian Ministry of Health, Mikhail Murashko, announced the need to wear masks before the formation of population immunity to COVID-19.
