The Bavarian Prime Minister and CSU leader Markus Söder has been infected with the corona virus. He cannot start a planned trip to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Bayerns Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) has tested positive for the corona virus. He announced this himself on Twitter on Saturday. He therefore had to cancel a trip to the Gulf region planned for the coming days.
“Now it got me after two years,” wrote Söder. In the run-up to his trip, a PCR test was positive on Saturday. “Even though I had had rapid tests twice a day all week – always negative. The last one even this morning.”
“By the way, the value of the PCR test is such that infection has so far been extremely unlikely,” he wrote. “Nevertheless, it’s now time to isolate. Unfortunately, the trip abroad has therefore been cancelled.” Actually, Söder would have wanted to go on a trip to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia on Sunday.
