Golf | Darkness interrupts the opening round of the European golf tour – Mikko Korhonen at the tip, more difficult for other Finns

Finland Mikko Korhonen started the European men’s golf tour season opening race steadily for sure in Abu Dhabi. Korhonen cleared the competition with the result of the first round -3 and is in the tenth place in the race.

The competition is led by the star name of Northern Ireland Rory McIlroy, of which Korhonen missed five strokes. The Finn was pleased with his steady round of three birds.

The start of the round was postponed by three hours due to fog, and eventually darkness interrupted the round. For other Finns, the opening of the season did not cause any rejoicing. Kalle Samooja and Sami Välimäki will play their Thursday round until the end of Friday.

Tapio Pulkkanen and Samooja share the place with a score of +1. The sled played a full round, Samoa eight holes.

Välimäki, who was chosen as a newcomer to the European tour after last season, played ten holes with a result of +3. Nokia shares the 116th place.

The prize pool for the Abu Dhabi competition is $ 8 million, or about € 6.6 million.
