The attendance and content forecasts for its third edition confirm the projection of this meeting at the highest level
Global Mobility Call was born in 2002 under the organization of IFEMA MADRID and Smobhub, with the sponsorship and promotion of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, as a strategic event to position Spain as the international hub for sustainable mobility. An environment of development and business investment opportunities fostered by both the Next Generation EU funds and the European Green Deal, the roadmap to make Europe the first carbon-neutral continent by 2050.
It has the collaboration of the Community of Madrid, the Madrid City Council, the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) and the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP), in addition to other public institutions and the business sector, national and international.
This third edition (to be held from November 19 to 21, 2024), which ratifies its status as an international reference event, will bring together more than 10,000 professionals from all sectors involved, to share their vision of policy development and business initiatives of sustainable mobility.
More than 450 national and international speakers will participate, with 115 discussion tables and keynotes and the presence in the large exhibition space of nearly a hundred companies, corporations and startups from different sectors.
An entire ecosystem of present and future organized around seven major thematic itineraries prepared by the organization: ‘Energy transition, Promoting the transformation of mobility’, ‘Urban mobility: Public transport solutions and shared mobility’, ‘Intermodal transport: Mobility efficient and sustainable’, ‘Smart mobility planning: Designing more liveable urban spaces’, ‘The transformation of the automotive industry: adapting to a new era of mobility’, ‘Technological trends: Accelerating the mobility revolution’ and ‘Disruption’ strategic: Innovation Talent and Cyber’.
institutional ‘summit’
In addition to its exceptional, numerous and diverse business representation, institutional assistance is added (HM Felipe VI was present at the opening gala of the 2023 edition). A list made up of the Minister of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, Óscar Puente; the Secretary General of Sustainable Mobility of the Ministry, Álvaro Fernández de Heredia; the Minister of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure of the Community of Madrid, Jorge Rodrigo; the general secretary for the Demographic Challenge, Francisco Boya; the managing director of EMT Madrid, Alfonso Sánchez Vicente; the CEO of Metro de Madrid, Ignacio Vázquez and the managing director of the Madrid Regional Transport Consortium, Pablo Rodríguez (in addition to the announced presence at this event of the mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida).
Air industry, automotive, rail and maritime transport, sustainable energy, digital mobility solutions, logistics and distribution, all public transport options, digital infrastructure, the role of cities in the implementation of mobility solutions, road safety, autonomous vehicles …are only part of the aspects to be addressed in the 2024 edition of Global Mobility Call.
A great innovation event in its broadest sense applied to mobility in which the main sector associations will also be present, as well as organizations such as Las Rozas Innova (strategic Innovation Partner), the Madri+D Foundation, and Celering, as well as companies like Tecnalia and 4UP.
