The annual “Banks and Security” event, two days of discussions and insights between sector experts, institutions and industry in order to identify common strategies and innovative technologies to strengthen resilience and cyber posture is taking place in the Bezzi Banco BPM Auditorium.
“
Italy is among the countries most targeted by cyber attacks at a European and global level
”, declared Gianluca Galasso, director of the operations service – Csirt Italia of the National Cybersecurity Agency, in his keynote speech on the theme ‘The threat grows, Italy’s response capacity increases’. But it’s a given – he specifies – which must be read and interpreted beyond the numbers, with a fundamental reflection: “The greater the digitalisation of the country, the greater the exposure to risks”.
Regulations, both nationally and internationally, have taken on a crucial role in this context. Over the past decade, there has been a notable increase inadoption of laws that regulate the certification of hardware and software products and establish protocols for managing large-scale incidentsas evidenced by European Cyber Solidarity Act. The field of cybersecurity transforms from a simple reactive necessity to an essential strategic component for global stability in the 21st century.
L’National Cybersecurity Agency is on the front line in defense, prevention and training against cyber threats, operating as a point of reference in an intricate global landscape. “
Nobody saves themselves” is a mantra often repeated by experts, underlining the need for transnational cooperation and collaboration. An example of this collaborative effort it is the agreement recently signed with CERTFin, as well as the initiative of a permanent coordination table between the agencies of the G7 member countriespromoted during the Italian presidency.
“Banks and security” is in its 21st edition and is promoted by ABI, in collaboration with ABI Lab, CERTFin and OSSIF, and organized by ABIEventi.
