The sports car with 650 HP of power paraded on the catwalk of the Goodwood Festival of Speed in a decidedly unusual livery, conquering fans
James Glickenhaus, former banker, director, film producer and founder of Scg, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, certainly does not lack the pleasure of the special effect. And it is no surprise that even in motorsport and the automotive industry – which represent his second life – he continues to cultivate the aesthetic sense. So for the debut of the new Glickenhaus Scg 004S at the Goodwood Festival of Speed he covered the 650hp supercar with a gold exterior paint and black trim, as well as a large rear spoiler. Impossible not to notice it. The car – which inspired the later CS and C – features a supercharged 650 HP V8 engine combined with a six-speed manual gearbox. The car was built “by hand” in Connecticut, and is described by the company as “a road car born on the track”. It is not original, but the truth.
Inside the car, the driver’s seat is centrally positioned with the two passenger seats located behind. There are the reversing camera and an infotainment screen with Bluetooth connectivity, phone holder and USB charging sockets. It is expected that it will go on sale for 460 thousand dollars, approximately 390 thousand euros. Equipped with OZ wheels paired with Michelin Pilot Cup Sport 2R tires, it will also be available with special carbon fiber bodywork for an additional $ 70,000. Other options, according to the Autocar magazine: front and rear lifts, adjustable Bilstein shock absorbers and an on-board fire suppression system. The car aims to receive homologation for road use as soon as possible, but now the first objective of the Cameron Scuderia is the challenge at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the 007 Lmh.
