Exercise has started in many BJP-ruled states against ‘Love Jihad’. Meanwhile, in Bihar too, political mercury has started climbing on this issue. BJP veteran and Union Minister Giriraj Singh has requested Nitish Kumar government in Bihar to enact a law on love jihad. He said that Bihar also needs to work on love jihad for social harmony by not denouncing communalism. After this statement, there seems to be confusion in the ally JDU. However, it was definitely said by the party that if someone makes such a statement, there is no need to discuss it.
Giriraj said – Love Jihad Cancer for social harmony
JDU may be avoiding saying anything in the matter of ‘love jihad’ right now, but it is clear from the BJP’s stand that it is not going to leave it. This is the reason that Giriraj Singh, MP from Begusarai has given a big statement on this issue. He said that I believe that Love Jihad has become cancerous in a way due to social harmony. Now many states are in the process of making laws for this. Bihar too needs to work on love jihad for social harmony by not denouncing it communalism.
‘Bihar also needs to work on love jihad’
Earlier, the Union Minister said that issues like love jihad and population control have nothing to do with communalism but are a matter of social harmony. He said on Friday that in Bihar, the Nitish Kumar government is requested to enact a law on love jihad. The problem of love jihad has to be eradicated and it would be good if a law is introduced to stop love jihad in Bihar.
Vashistha Narayan Singh said – no need to discuss such statements
On the other hand, senior party leader Vashistha Narayan Singh from JDU has commented on this issue. When he was questioned about Giriraj Singh’s statement, he said that you people should not discuss such statements. Sometimes when someone’s statement comes, it does not mean that they have to discuss it. Earlier, JDU spokesman Sanjay Singh also commented on the issue saying that our faith is in harmony.
JDU said- Nitish Kumar a person carrying all religions and castes together
JDU leader Sanjay Singh said that our leader Nitish Kumar is a man of all religions and castes. What decision a government is taking is their case. Our government has to decide on love jihad. Sanjay Singh said that Nitish Kumar has never done politics of pressure. Any proposal that breaks the society will not be accepted.
