Georgia Trocciola he lost his life at the age of 17, while crossing the road on the pedestrian crossing. A Jeep, which ran through a red light, ran over her.
He was in the United States to study and is right in front of his institute, the Doherty High School of Colorado Springs, that his life was cut short.
Born and raised in Italy, Giorgia Trocciola moved to the USA to fulfill her dream of becoming a off-site student.
Comrades are shocked since what happened, she was a sunny, brilliant girl, a great friend. And she was just crossing the crosswalk. That driver ran a red light.
The school where he studied, published a moving video on your social media page. Teammates filmed carrying flowers to the baseball field:
Rest in peace Giorgia, you are gone but we will never forget you. We will struggle to go on but between tears and pain we feel that your memory will live on.
Even her tennis mates, still in disbelief at her loss, have it so greeted:
Giorgia was the kindest soul of this team. She lit up every room she entered. We are honored that she has become a part of our lives. She wanted to experience all that America had to offer and was eternally loved. Giorgia will be missed every day. A speed limit change at Barnes certainly doesn’t change any of this tragedy but it is a step towards change. We send our love and thoughts to Giorgia’s friends and family.
The friends have also started a fundraiser to help the American host family to reach Italy, in the Vicenza area, to attend his funeral.
The Italian family members reached the USA and were incredulous in front of the immense affection for Giorgia. She was known and loved by all. These are the words of his father:
Here in the United States where my wife and I are at her school they have created a motto #LLG which translated means ‘Live like Giorgia’. Practically everyone here knew and loved her.
