Giampiero Galeazzi was born in Rome in 1946 and immediately devoted himself to boating as a professional, following in his father’s footsteps. In 1967 he won the Italian championship in single and double with Giuliano Spingardi.
Sportsman in the following years he was hired by Rai like sports journalist. His voice was immediately chosen as the official one to tell the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany.
An unexpected event to the official commentator allowed him to make his own first commentary in his discipline, rowing. He then became the sports news item also for football and tennis and with his voice he told the exploits of the gods Abbagnale brothers and the second Scudetto of Napoli di Maradona.
In 1996, Pippo Baudo he also wants it at the 46th Sanremo Festival. He also lent his voice to the cinema, dubbing the character of Mr. Swackhammer, the main antagonist in the film Space Jamm, with Michael Jordan.

He was a great Lazio fan and had two children to whom he had passed on his passion and dedication to journalism: Susanna, presenter of TG5 and Gianluca, journalist in the editorial board of Tg LA7.
