Exactly one month after its release in cinemas in Italy, Ghostbusters Legacy is still shown in the new international trailer, thanks to which we are witnessing the rise of threat to the small town where our protagonists live.
The new film dedicated to Ghostbusters unfortunately found several delays in implementation. Unfortunately it is one of those films that the arrival of the pandemic has slowed down a lot, forcing a postponement of distribution in theaters over and over again.
Despite the wait has been felt throughout the summer Sony Pictures has reassured fans of the series with a new trailer, thanks to which we have also received confirmation of the release date, set by us for November 18th. Today, with the release of the new international trailer of Ghostbusters Legacy, we finally have a clearer view on the nature of the threat that the protagonists will have to face.
The new sequences show us how under the small town where the film is set, there is one large concentration of ectoplasmic activity (as the character of Egon in the first films): it all leads to the return of Zuhl, the quadrupedal creature that threatened the city in the first chapter.
Are you a god?
The presence of the creatures, however, could lead to something more dangerous: in the temple dedicated to the entity, moreover, we have a very rapid scene in which Gozer rises from the ground, the ancient extra-dimensional being antagonist to the former Ghostbusters.
The presence of a portal, as defined by the character played by McKenna Grace, for a “ghost realm” could be inspired by the script of the third film never made since 1989, where the underworld would spill over to New York.
It will be interesting to see the group dynamics of the protagonists and how it will intertwine with the old team of Ghostbusters (remember that in the film they will return Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver And Annie Potts).
The film will be directed and co-written by Jason Reitman, son of the director of the first two films, Ivan Reitman. We remind you that the next one will arrive in Italian cinemas November 18.
