Leon Draisaitl won the German NHL duel with Tim Stützle. With his Edmonton Oilers, Draisaitl triumphed 5-2 against Stützle’s Ottawa Senators in the North American professional ice hockey league. With one goal and two assists, the Cologne native was one of the most influential players on the ice. Stützle also played well and equalized with his eighth goal of the season to make it 1-1 (16th). However, Edmonton countered with two goals from Connor McDavid (17th, 20th) before Draisaitl added the fourth goal (25th). While Ottawa suffered its third defeat in a row, it was the tenth win in the 20th game for Edmonton. Lukas Reichel lost again with the Chicago Blackhawks: The German lost 2:3 to the Anaheim Ducks. The weakest team in the Western Conference gave up two leads.
