Delia Rodrigo, titular judge of the Court of Instruction number 4 of Majadahonda and who investigates the “possible illegalities” in contracts of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), like the one who moved the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia, agreed this Thursday to investigate former soccer player and businessman Gerard Piqué, who would have agreed on an annual commission of 4 million euros for that agreement in an alleged case of corruption in Spain.

The magistrate issued an order in which she agreed to expand the investigation against fifteen people, including the former Barcelona player, but also the president of the RFEF Pedro Rocha – to whom he already announced it in an appearance -, or the personal friend of the former federation president Luis Rubiales, the businessman Francisco Javier Alcaide, Nene, in an investigation for alleged corruption during the mandate of Luis Rubiales.
The judge investigates in this case, which is also directed against Luis Rubiales, the alleged commission of the crimes of corruption in business and unfair administration, without ruling out the possibility of the crime of money laundering.
The investigation is carried out “as a consequence of the result of different investigation proceedings ordered by this judicial body, a procedure initiated for the alleged commission of the crimes of corruption in business and unfair administration,” explains the judicial resolution.
