Prime Minister Kobakhidze: resetting relations between Georgia and the United States is an important task
Resetting relations with the United States and the European Union (EU) is the most important task for Georgia’s ruling Georgian Dream party. This was stated by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, reports RIA Novosti.
“The most important national task, I would say, is to reset relations with the US and the EU. We certainly don’t like the relationship that exists now. On our part, all steps are being taken to reboot,” he said.
Kobakhidze noted that European integration still remains the main foreign policy priority of the republic. The Prime Minister emphasized that Georgia also intends to strengthen cooperation with NATO and China.
Earlier, Irakli Kobakhidze called the settlement of relations with Russia a priority. “A pragmatic policy and peaceful resolution of the conflict with the Russian Federation are the highest priority,” he said.
