SINGAPORE, 3 April 2024 – HoYoverse, a global interactive entertainment brand, today announced a new season of Astra Carnival: Prince's Cup coming in 2024 with an updated competition system. For the first time, players will be divided into two regional tournaments, Western and Eastern, where they will compete with elite players from different areas for the title of champion and a total prize of USD 60,000 per region. Registration for Wild Card tournaments begins now, offering your last chance to qualify for the new season and rewards that include 160 First Gems and an exclusive card back.
Every duel, starting from the Top 32 to the finals of each regional tournament, will be broadcast live during the new season. Genie Summoning, the most popular card dueling game in Teyvat, premiered in December 2022 as a new game mode for Genshin Impact. In 2023, a series of competitions were introduced for players from various regions, including the official Astra Carnival: Prince's Cup tournament and the Cat's Tail Festival community tournament. The group of participants in this year's edition of the Prince's Cup: Eastern Countries and the Prince's Cup: Western Countries will be composed of the players from the Top 24 of the previous edition of the Cat's Tail Festival and 8 players who will be determined during Wild Card tournaments.
Wild Card Tournaments represent the last opportunity to enter this season of the Prince's Cup for those who did not participate in the Cat's Tail Festival. These tournaments will take place from 26 to 28 April for Western countries and from 17 to 19 May for Eastern countries. All participants will receive 160 First Gems after completing their first duel, and those who manage to win their first Bo3 will get an exclusive game card back! Registrations are open until 11.59.59pm on April 15th (UTC+8) via the following link:

In the preliminary rounds, the top 8 players will go head-to-head in double-elimination Bo5 duels. The last two remaining players will then compete in a series of Bo7 duels to decide the champion who will be awarded a prize of 16,000 USD!

- Preliminaries (Top 8): July (Western countries), August (Eastern countries)
