The much talked about 2.0 update of Genshin Impact is getting closer, but in the meantime a leak has anticipated what could be the news that will arrive with the next version, namely the 2.1, including a new character and an expansion of Inazuma.
A few days ago we reported the official announcement of the upcoming 2.0 update, which will be the biggest in the franchise’s history so far. The details were explored via a live on Twitch, bringing new characters (Aya, Sayu is Yoimiya), new weapons and the Inazuma region as an explorable territory, setting aside the obligation to use certain characters to travel in the lands thus leaving more freedom to the players.
Despite the imminent release, rumors already arise on the web about the next update, version 2.1: a new leak brings us new information on the contents that we could expect. Starting from the Beta registration took place a few days ago, which means that this one will be playable by a few chosen players before long.
According to what is reported in the leak, in the next update of Genshin Impact we won’t see everything about the Inazuma region: version 2.1 would add a new island. However, apparently the news regarding this section of the territory are not over: from this point on each update would bring a new island of Inazuma.
The leaker also specifies that the 2.1 update would not represent a filler patch, specifying that the game will not have any until 2022. As for the characters, it seems that the newcomer will be Kokomi. There is very little information we have regarding its nature, except its hdyro element. Even for a possible release date, we will have to wait for further updates.
On the weapons side, it seems the character will arrive with the Heartseeker, also known as the Star Seeker. This is the weapon of Keqing and will be available during the Moonchase Festival, with the story quest dedicated to Kokomi. So this is the information we have for the 2.1 update of Genshin Impact. However, with the beta available shortly, we will surely be able to find out more.
