A street named after the association of Professor Franco Henriquet which provides home care for the terminally ill
Genoa – A street dedicated to the association Gigi Ghirotti which for years has been involved in soothing the pains of terminally ill and their families. The ceremony took place this morning and the two-way street adjacent to the gardens of theAcquasola, in the final stretch of viale IV Novembre and the confluence with largo XII Ottobre.
The deputy mayor of Genoa participated in the naming Massimo Nicolò who thanked “all the doctors, nurses and volunteers of the association who daily carry out a service of extraordinary importance for the sick and their families”.
The association was founded in 1984 by professor Franco Henriquet for study, pain therapy and palliative care with the aim of starting a home care service for cancer patients.
The ceremony was attended, in addition to Deputy Mayor Nicolò and Professor Henriquet: the president of the Central East Municipality I Andrea Carratù, the managing director of the Metropolitan City Stefano Anzalone, the councilor for Equal Opportunities of the Liguria Region Simona Ferro. Also present was the municipal councilor for tourism Laura Gaggero.
